How Much Does Blind Installation Cost per Window?
On a supplied-and-installed order, fitting is included in the per-square-metre price — there is no separate installation charge. A roller blind at R450 to R900 per square metre is the fitted price, not the blind on its own. Where we fit blinds bought elsewhere, fit-only starts from about R150 to R350 per blind, depending on size and fixing, and is confirmed on the quote.

Recess or Face Fit — and the Measurements That Decide It
A blind is either fitted inside the reveal (recess fit) or on the wall above it (face fit), and the reveal depth decides which is possible.
- Recess fit needs enough depth for the headrail to sit clear of the glass and any handles — roughly 40 mm for a roller and more for a venetian headrail. The blind is made a few millimetres narrower than the opening so it runs without catching, which leaves a small light gap down each side.
- Face fit mounts the blind on the wall and is made wider and longer than the opening — typically 50 to 100 mm of overlap each side. This is the specification for full darkness, because the overlap covers the light gap a recess fit cannot.
Shallow reveals, tiled bathrooms, steel window frames and face-brick walls all change the fixing, which is why we measure on site rather than working from numbers over the phone. Measuring is free and takes about fifteen minutes for a whole house.
